About This Spot
Stepping into My Neighbor Felix LoHi is like finding a spirited corner of Mexico nestled right in the heart of Denver’s lively Lower Highlands neighborhood. The space hums with energy—a vibrant mix of bold colors and intentional design touches that create a welcoming backdrop for good company and even better conversation. Whether you’re settling in on the patio under the warm Colorado sky or grabbing a seat by the dramatic bar inside, the pace feels easy, yet charged with a quiet anticipation of flavors to come.
This is not just a typical Mexican restaurant; it’s a celebration of Mexico’s rich culinary landscape, woven together in thoughtful, regionally inspired dishes that invite sharing and discovery. From the moment a basket of freshly warmed chips arrives alongside lively salsas and rich queso fundido, you realize that every bite is meant to be savored. The cocktail menu offers playful creativity—imagine sipping on a mango sunrise margarita or a nuanced mezcal blend—each one crafted to match the vibrant soul of the food and the warm, bustling atmosphere.
Here, the focus is on human connection as much as the cuisine. Regulars and neighbors mingle comfortably, sharing moments that feel as intimate as if you were visiting a friend’s home. Staff bring a genuine warmth to each interaction, making it clear that your experience is about more than just a meal. And while the space carries enough electricity to lift a celebratory spirit, it never loses the grounded feeling of familiarity and community that makes it a repeated destination for families, friends, and solo diners alike.
For those craving a place where culture, taste, and conviviality intersect, My Neighbor Felix quietly holds its ground as a local gem in Denver’s dynamic dining scene—an inviting spot that offers more than food, but a moment of shared experience in this bustling neighborhood.

Nice interior and patio seating. Food was fine but not great. Prices are a bit high for value and taste. Tacos were a bit too greasy, but they do have a fun 2 taco + margarita deal for $15. Service was fine as well

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a brunch with my neighbor Felix in Denver, and it was truly a wonderful outing! We each ordered a drink to kick things off; I tried the blueberry thyme cocktail, which was refreshing and full of flavor, while my daughter opted for the elderflower margarita, a delightful twist on a classic that she thoroughly enjoyed. For our meal, we shared the churro French toast that was nothing short of divine—perfectly sweet and so indulgent! I also ordered the smoky black bean flautas, which were incredibly tasty and satisfying. Additionally, the chilaquiles divorciados, customized with only green salsa, was a hit as well. Every dish was delicious, showcasing a blend of flavors that made each bite enjoyable. Overall, brunch with Felix was a fantastic culinary experience. I highly recommend getting together with him for a meal; you won't be disappointed!

My friends/ familia and I enjoyed our visit. Treated like royalty. Thank you for making our special moment memorable. Chef and bartender were legendary. We got some treats to take home! I’m so excited and thankful. My tummy is full. Congratulations to my girl, Emma Sojo on winning her Sparta Combat Fight this past weekend! Proud of you lady! Champ is in the building.

If you’re craving flavorful pan-Mexican cuisine in a lively setting, My Neighbor Felix delivers on both taste and experience. The space is vibrant and stylish — thoughtfully designed with bold accents, a dramatic bar, and an ambiance that’s energetic without feeling chaotic. The menu celebrates the rich diversity of Mexico, with dishes drawn from all seven regions. Each plate feels well curated and carefully balanced: the short rib birria tacos, the hot iron-seared burrito, the seafood and grill options — everything tasted fresh, layered, and satisfying. The flavors are bold but not overwrought, leaning into authentic technique and smart sourcing. Service is friendly and on point. The staff seemed genuinely invested in helping navigate the menu, offering suggestions, and making sure the flow of courses hit just right. The cocktails and margaritas deserve a moment on their own — inventive, well mixed, and a fun companion to dinner. All in all, My Neighbor Felix gives you an elevated Mexican dining experience that doesn’t lose its approachability. It’s a spot I’d happily recommend for date nights, group dinners, or any time you want to enjoy bold, well-crafted food in an energetic environment.

7.2025 update- came by for brunch! great selection and new cocktails to try! another great location! they get busy and parking can be tricky, so head out a tad early to find a spot. otherwise the food came out perfectly and they were on top of refilling chips for our guac, too. nice touch!

Yum! We came for permanent jewelry and stayed for the atmosphere and mimosas!! All the food we had was incredible!! Poblano queso potatoes, shrimp tacos, breakfast tacos, nachos, chilhuacle skirt steak! Edited to add - at the end of the night, (girls brunch, then my husband met me for an impromptu date night) we had spent well over $500-600. The bartending staff wasn't very friendly at all, they were just "there". Not many smiles to share, which is odd as a bartender. When I asked to close out (we sat at the bar for the duration), it seemed as though I was putting her out. She put the check down in front of me and left. I had to flag her down and ask for them to run my card. During that entire exchange, she didn't say a word. Not even thank you or a smile. Pretty disappointing after spending so much time and money there. SECOND EDIT: We WENT BACK!! After hearing from management about our initial review regarding poor service, we decided to give them another chance and BOY DID THEY SHOW UP!! 10/10!! The food, the vibe, the smiles, the service, it was all EXCEPTIONAL! I added more pics to show all the amazing food! We even got Ricardo's card because every dish that came out of the kitchen was mind blowing! We WILL be back and decided that this will be our date night dining go to! Thank you @myneighborfelix!
